About

Dani Weiss-Bronstein

I am an International Association of Psychosexual Therapists (IAPST) certified psychosexual therapist, Certified Sexologist,  and a doctoral candidate at Wurzweiler School of Social Work, where I also completed my MSW in 2021. In 2022 I finished my Master of Education in Human Sexuality at Widener University, where I presented on Experiences of Trauma & Trauma-Informed Care for Modern Orthodox clients. My first training placement was in a rural middle and high school serving a community that was largely under the poverty line. My practicum site at JQY focused on adolescents, sexuality, and people from religious backgrounds. During my MSW studies I received a grant from HSS for trauma training with adolescents in New York City, and was a UJA Dressler Scholar from 2020-2022. I was in the inaugural cohort of fellows at the Sacks-Herenstein Center at Yeshiva University from 2022-2023 where I developed a preliminary trauma-awareness curriculum for religious premarital educators. I am trained in trauma-focused CBT through Northwell Health and to level 3 in the Gottman Method.

We often lose touch with who we want to be in the face of challenges from our histories, relationships, school, careers, or our own expectations. It may feel like anger or anxiety have taken over your life and you don't want to keep coping - you just want to feel better. In our work together you'll gain tools to help you repair and build towards the life you envision for yourself. I specialize in working with people who have traumatic histories, relationship difficulties, anxiety, challenges in emerging adulthood, and members of the LGBTQ+ community. I incorporate elements of Mindfulness, TF-CBT, Creative Arts Therapy, and Psychodynamic work in a supportive and empathetic space geared towards helping you move towards the life you want to be living.
